Big Changes

Dear Dancers and Dance Parents,

It is with great sadness that I have made the decision to close The Dance Studio.  The number of dance students has tapered off in the past few years, so that I am barely covering operating costs.  This has not been an easy decision.  I have grown quite attached to my students, and have enjoyed watching them grow through dance.  I'm not leaving the area -- I am teaching dance and performing arts for both the Edmunds Consolidated School and Whiting Village School.  I am also looking for an affordable place to hold a few dance classes in the Machias area.  When I do, I will be in touch.

Fall Brochure Coming Soon!

The fall schedule is almost finished, and the brochures will be mailed very soon!  To make sure you receive one, email me your physical address, and it should arrive within a week!

SUMMER 2016 DANCE CAMPS AND CLASSES

The Dance Studio's Summer Dance program is a very popular way for both new and continuing students to enjoy dance during the summer months.  Camps run each day from Monday to Friday for one week, introducing boys and girls to different styles of dance and music, while teaching rhythm and coordination, focusing their energy on the creative expression of dance.  Adult classes are held once a week for eight weeks.  Students should come dressed to dance (T-shirt, shorts or sweat pants, or leotard, tights, and ballet slippers and/or tap shoes).  Please bring a light snack for a mid-morning break, and a lunch for longer days.  Click on the pages above to see class descriptions, tuition, schedule and registration information.

Our 15th Annual Recital was a huge success!  Thank you to all my dancers for all their hard work.  I am so very proud of you!  Also, thank you to the parents and grandparents for all your support, and to the Elm Street PTC for taking care of all the details.  You Rock!

All dancers are to be ready to perform, in costume with hair and make-up finished, to rehearse with their class at the following times:

Recital Pictures!

Recital pictures are scheduled for Saturday, April 30, at The Dance Studio.  Students need to be ready in their recital costume with hair & make-up done to be photographed with their class.
